About the event
An illustrated talk on Dave's work as an artist, falconer & bird ringer for the British Trust of Ornithology, the raptors he has had the pleasure of handling and his work rehabilitating injured birds over the years.
The talk will use photos, videos and field paintings to show Dave's life with these amazing group of birds and some of the art he produces, along with the nest monitoring and ringing he undertakes each year with the BTO licenses he holds.
David Scott is an Artist/ Photographer naturalist who paints wildlife primarily and also runs photo safaris into the Okavango Delta. He is also a licensed BTO bird ringer specializing in finding and monitoring hundreds of nests during the spring/summer. This also sees him go the far-flung areas of the world in search of rare nesting birds in the High Arctic & Mongolia, among some of the areas he visits. He also runs a bird rehabilitation Centre from his home hand rearing birds such as swifts & nightjar along with fixing where possible broken wings & legs of a myriad of species over 50 years!
