Practical volunteer group: Exeter Valley Parks

Practical volunteer group: Exeter Valley Parks

Location:

Steve Hussey - Wildflower displays at Ludwell Valley Park, Exeter

Come and help out at our nature reserves across Exeter, one Tuesday each month!

Position details

Commitment:

Tuesday

Frequency:

Monthly

What the task involves:

Throughout the year, one Tuesday every month, we will undertake a range of tasks from surveying to scrub clearance.

Skills and abilities:

You don’t need to know much about conservation as trained staff and volunteers will be on hand to teach you the skills you need.  You are encouraged to work at your own pace, to take rests when you need them, and therefore you do not need to start with a high level of fitness.

Please wear suitable clothes (appropriate to weather, ones you don’t mind getting damaged) and footwear (stout – steel toe-capped boots are best, or wellies or walking boots).  Bring a drink and lunch if staying the day. You are welcome to come along and just “have a go”.

When and how often:

Once a month on a Tuesday.
