About the role

On the third Thursday of every month we meet to undertake a range of conservation tasks such as coppicing, path improvements and scrub clearance.

What skills do you need?

You don’t need to know much about conservation as trained staff and volunteers will be on hand to teach you the skills you need. You are encouraged to work at your own pace, to take rests when you need them, and therefore you do not need to start with a high level of fitness.

Please wear suitable clothes (appropriate to weather, ones you don’t mind getting damaged) and footwear (stout – steel toe-capped boots are best, or wellies or walking boots). Bring a drink and lunch if staying the day. You are welcome to come along and just “have a go”.

Location

Tamerton Foliot, near Plymouth.
