About the event

Join bat expert Sarah Butcher for this Saving Devon's Treescapes event at DWT's Meeth Quarry Nature Reserve. The reserve is a great place for wildlife, with many different habitats, including those favoured by a number of different bats, which we are hoping to encounter during this walk and talk event.

We will gather at the reserve's main car park for an introduction to bats from Sarah, Chair of the Devon Bat Group. Sarah will show us how to use the bat detectors and as dusk approaches we will head off into the reserve to see what bats we can identify via their echolocation calls. Although fast, we are also likely to see them whizzing past.

Full joining instructions will be sent out a couple of days before the event. In the meantime, please contact Lindsay with any questions lmahon@devonwildlifetrust.org.

Tickets will be available to book from 1st May.
