About the event

Booking is essential and spaces are limited. Please reserve your spot in advance and "Book On Here"!

Join bat expert Sarah Butcher for this DWT event at Bystock Pools nature reserve. The reserve is known to provide good bat habitat and we are likely to discover several different species of bat during this walk and talk event.

We will park at the Squabmoor Reservoir car park and walk together to the reserve. Sarah will introduce us to the world of bats and show us how to use the bat detectors. We will then be in the reserve at dusk when the bats start to emerge and we will use the bat detectors to identify them via their echolocation calls. Although fast, we are also likely to see them whizzing past.

Book on to receive full joining instructions a couple of days before the event. In the meantime, please contact Lindsay with any questions by email on lmahon@devonwildlifetrust.org.

This is an event hosted by Saving Devon's Treescapes, a partnership project led by Devon Wildlife Trust on behalf of the Devon Ash Dieback Resilience Forum, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, One Tree Planted and other funders.
