Enjoy Devon’s beautiful landscapes and wildlife sites with a Devon Wildlife Trust walk.

Each of our Wild Walks takes in a DWT nature reserve and the countryside around it. Explore estuaries, or the tors of Dartmoor. 

Experience the wild Atlantic coast or a quarry that has been reclaimed by nature. Where will your next wild walk take you?

DWT’s Wild Walks are suitable for a range of abilities. Walks range in length from 4 to 8 miles, using footpaths, bridleways and minor roads.

Bystock Wild Walk

Bystock Nature ReserveStarts: 2 miles north of Exmouth

Length: 6 miles

Highlights:

  • Dragonflies, butterflies and woodland birds of DWT
    Bystock Pools nature reserve
  • Heather and heathland birds on the East Devon
    Pebbled Heaths
  • Historic village of East Budleigh.

Dunsdon Wild Walk

Dunsford National Nature ReserveStarts: 3 miles north of Holsworthy

Length: 4 miles

Highlights:

  • Orchids and butterflies of DWT Dunsdon nature reserve
  • Walk along the historic Bude Canal
  • Wildflowers and ponds of DWT Vealand Farm nature reserve

Bovey Basin Wild Walk

Length: 4.5 miles
