An introduction to some of the eye-catching lichens growing on parkland trees during which you can learn about the most significant factors influencing their growth and survival.

It is a short walk across Rock Park to Ladies’ Mile where we shall be looking at trees along the river bank. Wear warm clothing and mudproof footwear. Bring along your x10 hand lens if you have one but lenses will be available to buy cheaply. You will also need drinks and a packed lunch. Beginners welcome but booking required.
