A practical volunteer task to cut back encroaching scrub on this beautiful wildflower meadow.

Join us for some meadow restoration in the Avon Valley. Storridge Wood Meadow lies south-east of Gara Bridge, Moreleigh, South Devon (further details available on booking).

This is a practical volunteer task with Devon Wildlife Trust, South Devon Nature Trust and the Devon Greater Horseshoe Bat Project.

We will be cutting back encroaching scrub on this beautiful wildflower meadow which provides important foraging habitat for the local greater horseshoe bats.Tasks will involve cutting back willow, clearing brash and burning cuttings on site.

Tools and training provided. Tea, coffee and biscuits are supplied but please bring your own lunch. Wear suitable clothing and sturdy footwear.
