An illustrated talk on the secret lives of butterflies by Richard Fox, head of recording at Butterfly Conservation

Despite hundreds of years of study, fascinating discoveries continue to be made about the lives of even our most familiar butterflies. Presenting examples of recent scientific insights, this talk reveals surprising aspects of butterfly ecology and behaviour among common garden species, including the smelly world of cabbage whites, why the Peacock got its spots and where do Painted Ladies go in winter?
