Event details

Fri, 29/09/2017 - 7:00pm - 9:00pm

Join us to find out more about the bats which enjoy living around Deer Park Farm.

We will bring bat detectors and hope to spot some of our rare greater horseshoe bats feasting on the dung beetles around the farm fields.

Booking essential, call 01626 852775.

Wear boots or strong shoes.

It's easiest to find our farm from the A38 by taking the exit signed for 'Chudleigh and the B3193 Teign Valley' - but then take the B3193, NOT the Chudleigh road. Drive upstream along the B3193, with the river on your right. Take the 1st right turn signed for Trusham (and the Cridford Inn). Drive over the River Teign bridge and the disused railway bridge and then IMMEDIATELY turn right. Go up the hill for nearly 1/2 mile till you see our double gates on your left - drive down our track to the farm.

From Chudleigh, go along Woodway St, continue over the A38 and stay on this lane for about 1/2 mile until you come to junction with a signpost - turn left (signed for Trusham). Stay on this lane for about a mile, passing Larkhill Farm, Coombeshead Farm, Ruggadon Farm and Farley Farm (don't take the right turn for Trusham). Double farm gates and our Deer Park Farm sign will be on your right - go down our track to our buildings and yard.
